Summary:

Faith grows out of the Word of God, and we are to make His Word our final authority in life. The written Word of God prepares us to hear the voice behind the Word. While we are reading and meditating on the Word of God, He will speak to us, giving us specific instructions for our lives.

  1. Four definitions of faith.
    1. Faith is acting out on the Word of God.
    2. Faith is a practical expression of the confidence we have in God and His Word.
    3. Real Bible faith is faith in the love of God.
    4. Faith is the practical expression of our confidence and an act of obedience to the voice behind the Word.
      1. The spoken Word also possesses faith.
      2. When God speaks the Word, it is implanted. When we hear the Word preached, it is imparted.

CREFLO DOLLAR – LIVING THE LIFE OF FAITH (PART 2)

Creflo 1Creflo Dollar continues in his series, Living the Life of Faith. Always something fresh and new.

Summary:
We must continue to keep the Word before our eyes and hide it in our hearts in order to develop confidence. Hiding the Word in our hearts requires us to engage the Word and gain personal revelation for our lives.

A. There are rules that govern the right type of faith actions (James 2:14-17).
1. Without full manifestation of our faith, we cannot have the correct corresponding action.
a. We can only act in faith using what has actually manifested in our lives.
b. Doing anything that brings harm to ourselves or others is not faith, it is foolishness.
c. Our faith without the right corresponding action is dead.
i. For example, if someone is without food or clothes, it does not benefit them for us to say in faith, “Be warm and clothed.”
ii. We must help them by giving them actual clothing and food if it is in our power to do so.
d. We should continue to be confident in Philippines 4:19 which says, God will supply our needs.
i. However, we should not write bad checks to pay our bills because we believe God is going to miraculously deposit the money in our bank accounts before the checks are cashed.
ii. This is similar to attempting to lift weights that are much too heavy for us.
iii. Muscles and strength have to be developed, and so does faith.
B. How do we develop our faith enough to handle more spiritual “weight”?
1. We do what is necessary in the natural realm, while developing our faith.
a. Finding a scripture to match a situation is just the beginning of the process.
b. It takes time to develop faith.
2. Let us compare the planting of the Word in our hearts to the planting of corn seed (Mark 4:26-29).
a. The process works by the Law of Progression.
b. Receiving the harvest is a process that cannot be stopped.
c. The harvest must not be uprooted too soon.
d. We must be able to recognize our full harvest.
e. Uprooting our harvest before it has a chance to fully grow and develop will leave us with nothing.
f. Do not eat the beginnings of the harvest; keep nourishing the seed.
g. Do not mistake the beginnings of your harvest for the full manifestation.
h. Continue to speak and praise God for what you believe you have received.
3. When the ten lepers received their healing from Jesus, they did not allow the process to run its course. They ignored Jesus’ complete instructions once they saw some results (Luke 17:13-19).
a. These men failed to receive full restoration because they did not fully obey what Jesus told them to do.
b. One leper did obey; he came back and thanked Jesus.
c. This man received total restoration.

Creflo Dollar posted these study notes to go along with his sermon. This is deep! See what you think.

A covenant is a pledge, a promise or a vow between two or more parties to carry out terms agreed upon. It is similar to a contract, but much more binding. The Abrahamic covenant of God was derived from a blood covenant He made with Abraham. The only way out of a blood covenant is through death.

  1. Our understanding of the covenant world will cause us to prevail against all odds.
    1. It becomes an anchor to our minds and souls.
      1. A tremendous amount of faith will begin to soar on the inside of us because we understand the covenant world.
      2. Doubt will not be able to penetrate our minds when we read the Word with the covenant on our minds.
  2. Two keys for breaking financial hardship.
    1. You must be a spiritual Israelite.
      1. In other words, you must be born again.
      2. God made covenant with an Israelite—Abraham, and his seed.
    2. You must have knowledge of the covenant in order to reap its benefits.
      1. An understanding of the covenant will cause you to be great on Earth.
      2. You will win over every hardship you face.
      3. Hardship is not the will of God for us.
      4. As covenant people we are set apart from the world.
      5. The covenant is God’s hammer for breaking financial hardship.
  3. It is God’s will for us to prosper in all areas of our lives (3 John 1:2, AMP).
    1. The word “prosper” derived from the word “Euodoo”, means to have a successful journey.
    2. Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions.
      1. Our minds prosper when our thinking lines up with the Word of God.
      2. We cannot appropriate the covenant if our minds are not lined up with the Word of God.
        1. The covenant is not appropriated automatically. We appropriate it when we know the Will of God, which is His Word.
        2. The Word of God reveals our covenant rights.

Creflo DollarGreat word from Creflo Dollar.

As a Believer, you have a covenant of peace that includes wholeness, restoration, and completion in every area of your life. When you understand your covenant of peace, and are in agreement with the Word of God, you will receive all the benefits of this covenant.

      1. As a Believer, you have a covenant of peace (Isaiah 54:9, 10; Numbers 25:12).
        1. When God established His covenant of peace, it included safety, health, welfare, favor, restoration, security, success, and happiness.
        2. Peace means prosperity in every area of your life-spirit, soul, and body.
          1. Peace is all-encompassing.
            1. Peace comes from the Hebrew word Shalom which means: wholeness and completion-nothing missing, nothing lacking.
        3. God blesses His people with peace (Psalm 29:11).
          1. In the midst of confusion, you can stand on your covenant of peace.
            1. God promises in His Word that His loving-kindness will never depart from you.
